Sporting events in Jaunpils take place in cooperation of Jaunpils Municipality and sports clubs “Jaunpils ". The Municipality owns the sports complex. The Municipality employs a sports complex manager, who has a duty to take care of Jaunpils sports life by providing and organizing various competitions, tournaments, and the training process.
Various competitions, tournaments and training processes for children are done on a daily basis, as well as the promotion of adult active recreational process. Much attention is paid to the worked of children's and youth.
Coached trainings happen on a regular basis in basketball (children born in 1990 and younger). Children's teams regularly participate in Youth Basketball League competitions (both boys and girls), in international basketball tournaments in Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Poland and Estonia. Jaunpils Cup tournament in basketball is for children and is organized annually. Jaunpils Sports Contest in twelve disciplines takes place throughout the season, ending with the sports day at the stadium in July. Adults participate in district sports competitions in basketball and football. Such sports disciplines enthusiasts as archers, motor-sports and off-road motor sports are becoming more and more active and popular.
